CSA Architects designed this bespoke factory for Watson Marlow, to house a bespoke manufacturing plant to expand the company’s capabilities and production capacity. Watson Marlow approached CSA Architects in Summer 2009 to discuss this project. Using our extensive experience and knowledge of this sector, CSA advised that this project may be eligible for Convergence grant funding and were then appointed to lead a team of professional consultants to deliver this project. CSA managed all aspects of the project and co-ordination of the project team from inception to completion. The project itself has been very successful for the company and was the first private sector convergence funded project in Cornwall. The building which extends to a total of 27,000sqft including 21,000sqft factory and 6,000sqft offices was designed and constructed to BREEAM “Excellent” standards. The project was completed in Summer 2012 and was opened by Prince Andrew with significant media coverage.
