Building Regulations
csa are partnered with an independent building control body, who have the capability to provide pre-application consultation, they also have the capability to provide NHBC certification and determine applications far quicker than the traditional, local authority building control departments. The building regulations are updated on a regular basis, therefore, csa undertake continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure that their expert knowledge is up to date at all times.
Disabled Access
Disabled access regulations are required to be met at the planning stage, csa have the knowledge and experience to provide the necessary written statements to satisfy the local planning authority and the building regulation stage. Csa will advise on any implications relating to disabled access, which must be taken into consideration on day one, not just regarding the building design, but also the external works.
Health & Safety
Stringent legislation to protect the well-being of construction workers, building users, and ongoing maintenance has to be addressed during the design process. Construction Design Management (CDM Regulations) and an accredited planning supervisor is required for most projects, csa are accredited planning supervisors.
Working drawings & Specification
The experienced staff at csa have the technical knowledge and software to prepare detailed drawings and written specifications for projects of all types, drawing on the specialist skills and knowledge, available in each of the sectors. Csa use the "National Building Specification" (NBS) software to write detailed specifications, which are used for tender purposes and is the industry standard, which dovetails with other consultants. Csa use AutoCAD software to produce all technical drawings, again, industry standard software, to allow easy interchange with other consultants and contractors.
SAP Assessment
Required for the building regulation stage, to show compliance of the fabric of the buildings thermal qualities, csa have a specialist in-house to provide this specialist report.
