Cost & Budget
The initial brief will outline the client's requirements, and one of the most fundamental aspects of the brief is to clearly define the budget. Once the brief is established, csa will agree a design and advise on any implications on the budget, they will assess likely costs and make any adjustments to suit the budget. However, for most projects they recommend suitable quantity surveyors to undertake costings, from conception to completion, thus ensuring an accurate budget from day one. As lead consultant, csa can recommend an appropriate surveyor, to work together on behalf of the client, to deliver the scheme on time and on budget, in a professional and diligent manner.
Grant Funding
csa have specialist knowledge to offer support services such as feasibility and viability studies, often in conjunction with grant specialists to help clients win the available funding. csa have successfully delivered objective one funded projects and the new convergence fund continues in the region, for more information, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
Architectural Fees
csa calculate their fees based on a percentage of projected contract value. The brief defines the budget for the construction costs, which also allows csa to provide a fixed fee quotation for each of the stages, as required. Initially, a feasibility stage may be required, therefore csa will provide initial feasibility stages on an hourly rate basis, to enable the brief to be truly defined and agreed. An explanation of the architectural fee calculation is given below:
A percentage of the projected contract sum is defined; for full architectural services, these range from 3 > 15% depending on the project type, complexity and budget. This is then broken into stages, as required, for planning, building regulations, working drawings & specification, tender, contract administration and/or site supervision. csa will undertake an initial meeting to discuss the development proposals and provide the client with a written fee quotation, outlining any other consultants and costs that may be incurred, which will be undertaken on a speculative basis. Therefore, if you are considering undertaking a project which requires architectural services, please contact csa for a free consultation and quotation.
