csa were appointed in July 2001 to undertake a masterplan for an allocated 36 acre former mining site at Scorrier, Redruth. Due to the histroic uses of the site and scale of development, a full Environmental Impact Assessment was required. The team csa undertook all design and planning work associated with this project including the masterplan. Outline planning permission was granted in 2004 and csa processed a detailed applicaion addressing all reserved matters in 2009. More recently, this eastern part of the site has been identified as a potential waste/energy park and csa architects have been engaged with the client, in conjunction with Cornwall Council to produce a development framework/masterplan for this development. Enabling works and construction of the roads and infrastructure is due to commence in early 2011.
