A prominent seafront location provoked a striking contemporary design. The client, a high profile local developer, wanted to make a statement on this landmark site, pushing the boundaries of the residnetial market in terms of quality, which had to be conveyed via the external appearance. A prime waterside location dictated that the car parking, one space per unit, had to be concealed underground to minimise impact and maximise recreation space on the remainder of the site. The design provides 12 luxury apartments with two large penthouse units. csa strived to achieve a contemporary maritime design solution, drawing inspiration from the natural environment and immediate built context. The use of copper, white render and timber decking, combined with sharp angles and cantilvered components has created a stunning & unique building.
