Lying within the established grounds of the renowned Clowance Estate, a secluded and pictoresque walled garden site overlooking the lake. In the centre of this peaceful setting lay a derelict, Grade II Listed former boiler house, constructed in the early 19th Century. This original granite building created the back wall of, what was the substantial glass houses which provided the estate with home grown vegetables throughout the year; unfortunately, these were long abandoned and were removed in the 1980s. csa were commissioned to design a substantial renovation of the listed structure, complimented by a modern extension to provide a substantial family home, to safeguard the existing building for generations to come. csa achieved planning permission in April 2009 and the building was completed in August 2010 to a very high standard.
