H Tempest, Hayle

The project comprised of the demolition of 2 existing structures at the north end of the site and extension of the H. Tempest print works to form a large additional single storey warehouse, with adjoining two storey office accommodation to house production and storage facilities. The site is on a peninsula located on the Hayle - St. Ives road, on the edge of the Lelant estuary. The building fabric is unusual for an industrial unit, comprising of granite walling, a very high specification for a truly unique industrial site in a prominent location. The project was a Design and Build contract and CSA worked with Kier Western, formerly Dudley Coles to complete the scheme.
