The extension for Cornwall Glass & Glazing Ltd consists of an 1800m2 steel framed structure, with corrugated cladding to house a glass tempering plant. This is the first plant of this type to be located in Cornwall, allowing the toughening of a vast range of glass.
The corporate colour has been applied to elements of the cladding, subtly lifting the break between the junction between vertical and horizontal sections.
The accommodation areas possess a split-faced block, which contrasts with the powder coated aluminium windows also applied with the corporate colour. Adjacent to which sits the single storey link to the existing workshop, ensuring no connection with the steel frames of the old and new.
