Csa architects provided full architectural services as well as planning consultancy, grant funding and co-ordination of a full Environmental Impact Assessment for a new waste to energy Anaerobic Digestion plant, adjacent to the A30 at Fraddon. This pioneering scheme will be one of the first of its kind in the UK, using German Technology; csa architects worked closely with Envitec. CSA were specifically commissioned to provide architectural services to design the buildings and external works required to house the specialist CHP Biogas plant. In addition to full architectural services and landscape architecture, csa also managed and co-ordinated the environmental impact assessment, required to accompany the planning submission and provided planning consultancy and grant funding services.
The brief demanded that the buildings had to be functional and pragmatic. This project demonstrates csa architects capability to work on specialist projects and knowledge of innovative, environmental technologies.
