CSA architects were appointed due to their expert capability to manage and coordinate a full environmental impact assessment, in conjunction with full architectural, planning consultancy, financial viability, Section 106 negotiations, urban design and landscape architecture, to provide a holistic service, on behalf of the client for this major detailed planning application consisting of; 107 residential units (houses & apartments) a community hall, retail unit and public open space. The ability to coordinate consultants to produce a full Environmental Impact Assessment, emphatically demonstrates the company's ability to ensure integrated team working, throughout the preparation of a major planning application.
Csa were commissioned in January 2008 and worked with the local planning authority to establish the scope of works required, within the EIA. Subsequently, to demonstrate "best value" to the client, csa actively tendered each aspect of work required to appoint suitably qualified consultants. The project programme was produced and adhered to; culminating in the submission of this comprehnsive planning application, on schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
In addition, csa architects have two accredited Code For Sustinable Homes Assessors in-house, which enabled the scheme to be designed to Code Level 3 (An LPA reequirement) from conception, incurring minimal additional construction costs to achieve this standard.
