csa gained planning consent for the development in summer 2008, working on behalf of a private developer. The site was sold to Coastline Housing later in the year, and JJ Jones were instructed to construct the building on a design & build basis. csa were novated and have continued to provide architectural services throughout the project. In addition, a requiement of the housing association, for HCA funding, is to acheve a minimum Code Level 3; using csa architects in-house assessors, this has been economically achieved and the building is due to be completed in early 2010. The sceheme consists of 19 apartments, a mixture of one and two bedroom units, as well as a communal roof terrace, integrated landscaping and under-croft car parking.
