CSA Ref:- 0848
CSA Architects have been involved with this project, dating back to 1998. This site was formerly allocated in the Carrick District Council local plan for industrial/commercial development, to create a new industrial/business park, between Truro and Redruth, in a strategic location, served directly by the A30 at Scorrier. Since 1998, the scheme has been through numerous planning decisions and was eventually permitted by appeal.
In 2012, European Grant funding was secured to undertake the site clearance works and to install the new estate roads and services, to create the new business park/s. This work was completed by summer 2014. This is a unique site, being divided by the main Rail line, linking Penzance with Paddington, therefore there are two separate vehicular access to the west and eastern part of the site. In total, the site extends to approximately 36 acres and planning permission has been granted for in excess of 500,000sqft of industrial/commercial floor space. Planning permission has also been granted for Cornwall’s first Bio Park, on the eastern portion of the site, which has the ability to accommodate specialist waste/recycling and waste to energy plant. Individual serviced sites are being marketed. CSA have undertaken all masterplanning work for the entire estate to date and will be retained for the delivery of individual buildings/sites, as development progresses.
