Barn Conversion, Colan

A redundant barn in a small hamlet was the subject of an extensive conversion to form a 3 bedroom dwelling. The external walls were generally in good order and CSA provided full architectural services from inception to completion providing 3 bedrooms, kitchen, utiltiy and feature dining hall/entrance at ground floor with a mezzanine living room at first floor with woodburner and subtle roof terrace concealed within the form of the roof. Using traditional materials and a sensitive design approach, with numerous bespoke details and craftsmanship ons-ite, this highly successful project was completed in spring 2005.
