A master plan for the harbour redevelopment at Charlestown was prepared by CSA and we implemented the first phase with the construction of an office building with workshops below. The project illustrates our ability to work in a sympathetic manner to existing surroundings, a sensitive solution was required, utilising natural stone, slate hanging and slate roof as well as timber windows and doors, all of which required individual construction details, prepared by CSA. Presentation is critical to achieve planning consents in sensitive locations and we utilised hand-drawn illustrations to convey the conservation nature of this project.
